'Clockwork Angel' Book Review

'CLOCKWORK ANGEL' by Cassandra Clare
5/5 Stars
Simon & Schuster Teen
480 pg. U.S. Hardcover

This is the first book in THE INFERNAL DEVICES series, a prequel to THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS

One Star for Plot
One Star for Character Development
One Star for Conflict and Resolution
One Star for Flow
One Star for Ending

This book was SO good. I really liked the whole Magister subplot, and Magnus returning. I liked how Cassandra Clare hints to you that de Quincey isn't really the Magister, and I knew the WHOLE time that Mortmain really was. I liked how there is clues whether as to Tessa is, or isn't, a warlock.
The ending was pretty depressing. Tessa finds out that warlock's can't have babies, so...sucks for her.
The best character in the book, for me, was either de Quincey or Jem. Jem has a shrouded background, and you can push through the fog when you chug through the book. De Quincey, however, is easy to know. He's a phony. He isn't really the Magister, and pretends to be, and I could tell that he wasn't fully prepared for the job.
The sequel, 'Clockwork Prince', is set to come out later this year!
