Lionsgate Introduces New 'Hunger Games' Site

thecapitol.pn is the newest website for The Hunger Games. If you visit the website, it asks for your Twitter name. It's very interesting, and the pn seems to stand for Panem! Nothing much is really there besides a mismatched Capitol emblem.

Last night, the VMAs showed the long-awaited first look at the Hunger Games film adaptation, expressing a scene in which the heroine, Katniss Everdeen, is struggling to escape from oncoming fireballs whilst a voice-over is played using the voice of Gale Hawthorne, Katniss's friend. Watch for yourself!

Pottermore's Next Q&A...

According to the Pottermore Insider, they will be taking questions from current Beta-testers, most likely via Tweets or the Beta Feedback option on each Pottermore page. All of your hosts have yet to receive the Welcome E-mail, but we will let you know when we do.

Juliette Ferrars has been locked up for 264 days. She lives in a small prison cell without any interaction with the outside world. She has been locked up for her touch; a touch that is much different than any other.

This book is phenomenal. I read 100 pages each day and finished it in about 3 days, it was THAT Good. The story follows an incarcerated teenage girl who has been locked up for murdering people with her touch. The story proceeds with 1st person narration from the main character herself, and some of her thoughts are interestingly documented with strikethroughs, like this. There is always that underlying sense of darkness in the story that we don't always witness since the story is told by Juliette who, like I said, has been in jail for quite some time.
The characters are very interesting in this novel. Juliette is this very seemingly-weak character who is actually very strong and opinionated. Adam is the story's male lead and provides a romantic attraction between himself and Juliette. There are other characters, but as this is a spoiler-free review, I will not mention their involvement in the story.
This is a Dystopian novel as it takes place with a "Reestablishment", but it is a terrific Dystopian at that. The book is also Tahereh's debut novel, and she is hard at work on the sequel. Be sure to check out our interview with Tahereh, which is here on the blog!
