Box Office Mojo Predicts 'Deathly Hallows: Part II' At the Box Office

Box Office Mojo, a popular film website that records gross revenues for films, has made its predictions for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II and things are looking...well...magical
"[Deathly Hallows: Part II]should top the first Harry Potter's $317.5 million" writes Ray Subers. Now, the predictions were made at the end of June, but are still in effect. Box Office Mojo predicts Harry Potter will pull in:

  1. The most gross revenue for an opening-weekend, beating out The Dark Knight (Domestic record)
  2. Surpass the money earned from Philosopher's Stone in 2001
I think one of the main reasons for these predictions is not only because non-fans are curious to see how the franchise ends, but because of 3-D ticket sales. 3-D tickets are more expensive than 2-D, and some of the top-grossing films of all time are in 3-D: Avatar (#1), Toy Story 3 (#5), Alice in Wonderland (#6), and On Stranger Tides (#8).
