'Pottermore' Spoiler Free Review

As I know many of you did not participate in the Magical Quill challenge and thus have not gained entrance to Pottermore, J.K. Rowling's new Potter website. I did, however, explore the website and would like to share my quick thoughts. This is spoiler-free, and the new content from Jo will be discussed on future episodes of the podcast.

I really loved the interactivity of Pottermore. Users are able to collect new items for sharing and using in such things as potions. I, personally, have not brewed any potions because I am aware that they are very time-consuming.
One of my favorite things about Pottermore, my favorite non-content thing, was the Sorting process. The Sorting Hat asks you questions that you cannot manipulate to get whichever House you wish to join. The questions are not exactly thought-provoking, they just involve personal choices. I was Sorted into the House that I had desperately hoped to be in: Ravenclaw. Once Sorted, you receive a message from your House prefect, and mine was Robert Hilliard, not Penelope Clearwater.
The wand-selection process consists of questions asking about physical appearance and personality. My wand is amazing, it's Elder (the rarest wood), unicorn-hair core, 10 and three-quarters inches, and unyielding (like Bellatrix's wand). Your wand does not affect your experience, however, and is something fun to examine.
Back-stories we learn include McGonagall's, Quirrell's, Ollivander's, and even things on Nicolas Flamel, the Philosopher's Stone, the Mirror of Erised, and more. I expect that many more pieces of information will be added in each book on Pottermore as it is released, and the information will exponentially grow with the size of each book.
Philosopher's Stone is currently the only novel in the Potter series available for exploration on Pottermore.
