Four New Editions of 'The Hunger Games' To Be Released

Scholastic has made a very intriguing announcement for all of you The Hunger Games fans! But is this news as exciting as it is cracked up to be?
Scholastic has announced that The Hunger Games will be reprinted into four new editions. Three movie tie-ins make up the four new prints, and they include the actual book with a new look for the movie. That book will be released in February 2012, a month before the film. The second tie-in is an illustrated movie companion, similar to those of the Twilight Saga. The third book will be called The World of the Hunger Games, which I would rather have be a canon book from Suzanne Collins, but it will be sold for movie promotion. The film tie-in will be sold for 13 dollars, the companion for 19 dollars, and the World for 18 dollars. The fourth book to be printed is a collector's edition featuring a new slip case and new artwork. This will be sold for around $30.
I think that movie tie-ins shouldn't really be this emphasized, though. I didn't want to make a news post about this, but any Hunger Games news goes. I think it's just a money scam to reprint the books with Jennifer, Josh, and Liam on the cover. I am interested in the World of the Hunger Games, though. I don't exactly know what it will be of, but I'll guess it is a behind the scenes look at Panem, and building the film.

What are your thoughts on the movie tie-ins. Are they a waste of space or not? Leave a comment below or Tweet at us!
